On Tuesday, November 3, 2020, a national election was held (although early voting was already in progress), and by Saturday, November 7, 2020, the presidential election was called for Vice-President Joe Biden and Senator Kamala Harris for President and Vice-President.
Joe Biden received 51.3% of the votes and 306 Electoral College votes to Donald Trump’s 46.9% of the votes and 232 Electoral College votes.

It was the 1st time since 1992 (when former Arkansas Governor Bill Clinton defeated President George H.W. Bush), the 1st time in the 21st century, and only the 5th time in the past 100 years that an incumbent president lost his bid for a second term.
