There are a lot of discussions these days about how and what students learn. 

As I have previously published on this topic, the educational system in the United States is continually evolving. Also, as you may know, I am a retired educator, curriculum consultant, and reading specialist. I have been advocating for curricula that place the student first for decades. There has been a clash between theoretical learning and practical learning for almost two hundred years. I believe that the best education is a balance between the two, depending on the goals of the student(s).
