Those of you who know me know that as a creative entrepreneur and retired educator, I always encourage adding and incorporating the arts and humanities into our educational curricula. Although many people think only STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) is the only educational paradigm that counts, and many conservatives rail against students becoming more empathetic and accepting of people who may not be like them, I truly believe that studying the arts and humanities are essential for all grade levels.

Conservatives in particular do not like children learning how to think critically.

Humanities education encompasses a wide range of subjects that explore various aspects of human culture, history, literature, philosophy, arts, and social sciences. It is an essential component of the curriculum at all grade levels, as it provides students with a well-rounded education that not only imparts knowledge but also fosters critical thinking, empathy, creativity, and a deep understanding of the world around them.
